Father's Day

Happy Fathers Day!!! Every year we make my dad a special tie and this year it was themed~ DOGS!!!! We put iron dogs and glued on studded jewel things. Oh and the tie~ it was pink. we chose this theme to help our cause, we want a dog and he doesn't.

The Smiths

Last week, my mom's cousin and her family came to visit us1 We had a lot of fun! We went on walks, had a campfire, went to the American Girl store/ mall, had a BBQ, and went to Brunswick Zone! (it's a bowling/laser tag/arcade place)

In case you were wondering, the thing that is yellow and Grant holds on his head a lot~ that is the lizard. The Smiths take it with them wherever they go and every time they take a picture, the lizard has to be in it. I think it's a pretty neat idea.

Reid's Birthday

This year was Reid's eighth birthday! It was very special for him because in our church, when you are eight, you get baptized. We were very happy for Reid and we all supported him.

Grant was having issues because he thought that it was his birthday and was mad when Reid started to open "his presents"

Sigh, what are we going to do with him?

Baseball Game

As a special treat my grandpa took my family to a ROCKIES GAMES!!!! It was really cool and although I my friend Sarah, Maddie, and I spent more time trying to avoid my math teacher, laughing at some vendor, and being scared out of our minds by people (including Maddie and Reid's bus driver) having one too many beers, it was a lot of fun!:)

Sarah and I.

Schools Out!

As part of a celebration for the last day of school~ we decided to have our own pool day:) The pool wasn't open until May 29~ so, we improvised.

Reid was having a pioneer day the last week of school and I have to say~ all of the girls were probably ohhing and ahhing:)

My Grandpa came into town for Reid's baptism and he saw my ballet recital, it was pretty special.

Soccer Season

Maddie had a pretty good soccer season this year! She can run really fast and made awesome passes! I can't wait to watch her next season (they are learning slide tackles)

Maddie is in the center

Easter and Relatives

This Easter my Uncle Jake and Aunt Kelly came and we had TONS of fun!:) We had many Easter egg hunts and went on a hike that had a breathtaking view!In all, it was pretty awesome. In this picture we are looking through binoculars trying to find one of the lakes and looking at downtown Denver.

Grant is having the time of his life finding eggs~ imagine his joy when found out that there was candy in there!!!

These are our friends Whitney and Nathan Anderson, we dyed and hunted for eggs together.

Spring is here!!!

This spring break, I went to Breckinridge with my friends. It was soooo much FUN!!!! This is my friend ....... Yea, we were hyped up on sugar and so she tried to lookas weird as possible while I attempted taking the picture backwards. As you can see..... I DID IT!!! (I was really proud of myself)
Ok, in this picture, we were all piled up on the chair and Sarah's mom thought that this would be a perfect time for a picture. We were all pretty tired considering that the night before was spent watching a murder mystery. (Kaylee, the one with glasses, was a little freaked out and so we had console her most of the night. Oh, and for those of you wondering, Sarah is the one with the black hair or, for those of you one my mom's side, the one who looks like Izzy.):)

This...... is me. We were sledding in the backyard (which is more like a forest!) and basically, the sled would go down the mountain at about 100 miles an hour, while in the meantime you are trying to avoid the trees. Oh yea, and then getting back up the hill/ mountain takes about an hour to get up!In my defense, the snow went up to my waist (not kidding!!!) and so I was trying out this "crawl like a worm" move instead of having to walk through the snow. Let's just say, a snail could have past me. Oh, and this was after I accidently dropped my sled of the top of the hill, so I was in a pretty bad mood.
This is the "backyard". And me hurting myself on a slide, I will not go into details.

REID ENTERED THE SCIENCE FAIR!!!!!! He won a prize and did his project on , "Why Metal Rusts." It was pretty cool. We're proud of you Bud!

A special thanks to the Froehlkes for inviting me to Breckenridge! I had a GREAT time! Oh, and Sarah's mom for being the photographer and a great singing buddy on the car ride home! Thanks!!

The N.B.T(next big thing)

All I can say is that on days when you are bored, just invite Grant over.

Back to Buisness

Uh, well, I just start with the beginning, Maddie dared me to tie her up and it worked, then she decided to add that she had to do it to me, and in my defense, she is REALLY strong!
Here is my pride and joy! After tying my sister , I threw her in the closet and locked her in there. Of course, she screamed yelling that she saw a mouse, and then, of course, had to let her out before she knocked the phone to the ground and called 911 or something.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM~ it took us FOREVER to make her this cake and what happens, the cake cracks, has too much milk in it and has wax mixed in because the candles were burning for too long, but, it was made with love.

Yea, for mom's birthday, my sister and I sang , "I Gotta Feelin" for my mom, (it's her favorite song). We videotaped it and this was supposed to be the front cover of the CD. Yep, i have to admit, Maddie and I were pretty out of breath.

For my name day and my friend Zellie's birthday, we saw Legally Blond the musical. Tears were literally rolling down our face and I thought for a couple of parts that it would of been nice to have my inhaler!

We went to the park not to long ago and my friend, Sarah, came and brought her dog, Bailey. Grant was in love. Bailey would chase him around the park. Sometimes she would even race up the stairs and try to go down the slide to get him! Grant would yell. "Come get me Bailey! Come on, come get me!"

This is Grant going down the "Big Boy Slide" He was pretty proud of himself, but he didn't have much time to celebrate because Bailey was after him as you can see by his turned head.

Maddie trying out the monkey bars. It was pretty hard for her because they are so low that her feet could touch the ground while she was going on the monkey bars. Yet, she found something more interesting, to climb up on top of them and watch people.
Just keep swingin, just keep swingin, just keep swingin, swingin, swingin!

She insisted on trying them, ask her , not me!

Merry (late) Christmas!!!!

O.K., I know for many people this may seem very strange, but all my sister and I have ever wanted was a DESK!!! And this Christmas we got one. Yep, for my sister it's used as a store, office, ect. As for me, I use it for, get ready for this, HOMEWORK!

In all honesty, I feel bad for the garbage men after Christmas. I mean, we went through like 5 bags to get through all the food and wrapping paper and plastic wrapping on the toys, phew!
Every year, on the night of Christmas Eve, we open up a pair of pajamas and some socks, well Grant hasn't quite figured that out yet and so when he opened up the gift he yelled, "I DON'T WANT THESE , I WANT A TOY!!!!" tsk, tsk

These were the horses that took us on the sleigh ride through our neighborhood. It was really cold outside on Christmas Eve so we all took warm blankets and just enjoyed the ride. (oh, and it almost scared me to death because when I walked past the horses one time, the one turned his head, bent down, and breathed right in my face!)

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Yea, the picture is a little, well, you know. I mean, really, Maddie and Reid kept trying to tickle me and Grant though that that as just hysterical and , well, yea.

Reid and Grant at Reid's school party, pajama day! As you can see, Grant had no problem fitting in.

Maddie wrote this really cute poem book about snowmen and she dedicated it to my mom at her Christmas party.

And lastly, Grant at his pre-school party where they decorated cookies. (Grant kept trying to steal sprinkles from the other kids around him and kept making them cry.)
